I
hear
your eyes
upon me
at first but a slow
murmured spell cast in the hunger
of your stare. Unblinking, unable to turn away,
I am enthralled by your silent song. Our eyes meet, a thousand crickets chirping, and I
reverberate with the hostage heat, reflecting the
unquenchable summer swell of
lust onto itself.
This sight will
swallow
sound
and
sigh
until
your want screams
through subdued silence
with its shrill and ever-present
cacophony of cicadas – the roar of your need
let loose in your dilated pupils becomes deafening – your desire crescendos
with my heartbeat until our awarenesses pulse and
throb together as one single
entity through the
whole of my
being,
and
I
just
submit
consciousness
to your dissonance,
unable to know anything
beyond your dizzying dazzle. I am forever
lost in your clamorous gaze, drawn to your thirst for my flesh, my body, my blood, and I
succumb willingly to the hollow unrelenting
ache of so many katydids
still screeching to be
forever
lost in
your
eyes.
