October daily special, in case you couldn’t get enough of all the creative content craziness from Jennifer Weigel we’re posting one a day for the whole of the month!

Here in contemplation, I sit by myself, but when
am I to guide the King to glory, all while nobody’s
I hear the voices in my head emboldening me with
little snippets of insight to offer to the armies or to me
jumping around the French countryside, for in this I’m
Joan of Arc, despite God’s gracious guidance, forever and always
alone.
This poem is written as a Golden Shovel in which the beginning and end of each line is taken from another poem, in this case the Mother Goose nursery rhyme by the same name.
