I Once Hunted with the Wolves, But No More, by Jennifer Weigel

Coming at’cha every Sunday at noon Eastern Standard Time EST – here’s more creative content craziness from Jennifer Weigel…

I must stay hidden.  I have to keep my fangs tucked safely within my lips, unknown.  I have seen what the world of men has done to the wolves.  Previously, our packs roamed freely, apex predators unchallenged.  But no more.  I was among the eco-activists who sought to reintroduce my kin to their once vast territory, but the project didn’t take.  As soon as the wolves’ reach extended beyond the safety of the park boundaries, they were shot on sight.  I had wished for a different outcome.  But the humans know only hatred and fear – they are unwilling to share.
