A poem is a beautiful day, by Jennifer Weigel

Coming at’cha every Sunday at noon Eastern Standard Time EST – here’s more creative content craziness from Jennifer Weigel…

Spent silent sits still – some serene soliloquy
meandering between the here and now,
we all seek something to relate to.
Community is made up of crossed connections.
The rain of yellow leaves, harbingers of Autumn
in their cascading waterfall of color,
declares its presence –
as bright as the dappled daylight
that passes through the looming trees above.
A solitary cricket chirps,
singing itself into our consciousness.
Bliss is sitting in the warmth of the sun
among friends, both old and new.
What wasps? The wasps are gone.

Written during a poetry workshop with Wanderer Cydnee A. Reese at Red Barn Studio in Lindsborg, Sept. 27, 2025.
