October daily special, in case you couldn’t get enough of all the creative content craziness from Jennifer Weigel we’re posting one a day for the whole of the month!

The gaggle of girls seemed completely convinced they knew me from school. I’m terrible with names. Not much better with faces. But they kept addressing me by a name that wasn’t mine. And I wasn’t from there, and was in art college not high school. There were four of them playing popularity contest, though a little rough around the edges. Everything about them felt sketch, like they belonged in that mall, for sure. Still, they kept insisting. Like I had some kind of doppelganger. Until their tune changed. Turns out, they just wanted money. I knew I didn’t know them.
A memoir about a weird experience I had early my freshman year of college at the Kansas City Art Institute.
